As it is our first anniversary in beginning of September we decided to present to all followers of this blogg our field activity outside Ljubljansko barje. In this report we include trips from beginning of September 2015 forward. All observation presented are from Slovenia, but we also included our data from Isola Della Cona, Valle Cavanata and Pag island.
SEPTEMBER 2015:
Spoonbill Platalea leucorodia on 19.9.2015 in Sečovlje salinas amongside with Bluethroats Luscinia svecia
Common Ringed Plover Charadrius hiatacula on 19.9.2016 in Sečovlje salinas as well as Grey Plover Pluvialis squatarola and Little Stints Calidris minuta (by Maks Sešlar); we also saw a Turnstone Arenaria interpres on 10.9. on Medvedce water reservior
OCTOBER 2015:
Juvenile Red Knot Calidris canutus on 3.10.2015 in Sečovlje salinas (by Luka Poljanec)
Sardinian Warbler Sylvia melanocephala on 3.10.2016 at Beli Križ (by Maks Sešlar)
Lesser Black-Backed Gull Larus fuscus observed on 26. 10. 2015 with many Yellow-Legged Gulls Larus michahelsis, Caspian Gull Larus cachinans and Herring gull Larus argentatus; between Ptuj and Pragersko
Seawatch from Beli Križ (Strunjan) on 31. 10. 2015 producted 47 Yelkouan Shearwaters Puffinus yelkouan, 15 Sandwich Terns Thalasseus sandvicensis; Red-Throated Diver Gavia stellata and about 15 Bottle-Nosed Dolphins Tursiops truncatus

NOVEMBER 2015:
Greater Flamingo Phoenicopterus roseus on 22.11.2015; in November we also observed Ural Owl Strix uralensis at Bloke and Woodcock Scolopax rusticola on Sv. Kvirik on 28.11.2015
DECEMBER 2015:
Highlights of December were 4 White-fronted Geese Anser albifrons and 1 Smew Mergellus albellus in Štajerska region on 13.12.2015 and 2 Greater Flamingos Phoenicopterus roseus in Sečovlje. Unfortunately we haven't got any photos of these birds.
JANUARY 2016:
On 23.1.2016 we observed a Brancle Goose Branta leucopsis in Valle Cavanata where Spoonbills Platalea leucorodia were also present
FEBRUARY 2016:
Lesser Black-backed Gull Larus fuscus on 27.2.2016 in Štajerska region
Horned Grebe Podiceps auritus on 27.2.2016 on lake Ptuj (by Jure Novak)
Part of a flock of nine Scaups Aythya marila on 27.2.2016 on lake Ptuj; on 7.2.2016 we also saw a flock of 20 Bearded Reedlings Panurus biarmicus in Ormoške Lagune nature reserve
MARCH 2016:
On 10.3.2016 we participeted in White-backed Woodpecker Dendrocopus leucotos monitoring in Kočevje region
On the same date we saw a flock of 102 Cranes Grus grus in Mala Slevica

Kentish Plover Charadrius alexandrinus
Whimbrel Numenius phaeopus
Subalpine Warbler Sylvia cantillans; all of the above species (from the Cranes forward) were observed on 27.3.2016 in Sečovlje salinas together with Temminck's Stint Calidris temminckii and Curlew Sandpiper Calidris ferruginea.
APRIL 2016:
Marsh Sandpiper Tringa stagnatilis on 2.4.2016 in Škocjanski Zatok along with Little Crake Porzana parva
On 12.4.2016 we also participated at Capercaillie Tetrao urogallus monitoring in NW Slovenia

On 16. 8. and 14. 8. we also caught a Bechstein's Bat Myotis bechsteinii, Natter's Bat Myotis natterii, Daubenton's Bat Myotis daubentonii, Leisler's Bat Nyctalus leislerii and some other species. All in Biological camp with Simon Zidar and Jan Gojznikar.
